quickly and at full screen with simple mouse click scrolling, drag and drop

many things to discover, so If you have large collection of media, VidBox is
the right choice for you - "A Fast, Efficient and Unique Multimedia Player"

VidBox FFMpeg Encoder

VidBox FFMpeg Encoder

With VidBox FFMpeg Encoder you can convert Audio (wav, mp3, wma, .amr etc) to
Wave, Mp3 or Wma. And you can convert Video (mpg, avi, flv, wmv etc) to MPG, AVI or
Wmv. This is excellent for converting YouTube ( FLV ) videos to Mpg, you can select
presets from the drop-down menu or you can choose your own settings both audio and
Video (See Image Above).

FFMpeg is very versatile and will even allow you to convert quicktime files such as Mov
and 3gp Cellphone videos, it has a high quality output and the user friendly interface
VidBox provides makes it simple to use. Simply right click the Video or Audio file you
wish to convert from the main VidBox file list and select "Encode / Convert Format"..
Once the Encoder Window pops up (Pictured Above) select where you want to save your
new file using the "Browse" button, select a preset or use the default setting. By default
all audio encodings will be standard quality stereo, a good setting for most conversions,
but if you require higher settings you can select them easily from the Audio Options.
You can adjust frame rates, video size, bitrates etc from the Video Options but take care
not to set values to low, use the presets provided if you are unsure..

I personally like to use the PAL preset to convert FLV videos to Mpg and then burn them
to a disc so i can watch them full screen on the TV, most modern DVD machines support
the playback of Mpg files from disc or even from a Flash Drive. If you are living in the
States you would select the NTSC preset instead..

VidBox FAQ's

VidBox makes good use of the windows codec's already installed on your
system, but sometimes these files are either missing or were never installed
in the first place. Its a good idea to keep your computer up to date with the
latest Microsoft freebies such as this, codec's are used by your computer to
encode and decode the various media file types, If you have the most recent
version of Windows Media Player you may already have the necessary video
and audio codec's your system requires and if you don't, try the link below..

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia

VidBox's media component was originally designed to play Microsoft's
uncompressed (RLE) type AVI videos, most AVI videos these days are encoded
with the DivX codec so if you don't have this particular codec already you can
download it from their website for free. I have found that on a Windows XP
system its possible to play AVI files on VidBox, but you may have a hard time
playing these files smoothly or encounter strange colors during video playback,
if this happens I would recommend using the DivX player for AVI file types.

To play Swf and Flv (YouTube Format) Shockwave files through VidBox you will
require the latest version of Shockwave flash from its homepage (Below)..

http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download

To play FLV files, VidBox uses Jeroen Wijering's, FLV Player v3.11. This version
of the player has its own fullscreen option but does tend to play better in default
mode. To access the fullscreen feature of this component you may require the
latest version of Shockwave flash. (See Above)

http://www.jeroenwijering.com

To play Mov, Qt and 3fp files will you need QuickTime installed, many devices
such as Digital Cameras and Cellular Phones use QuickTime format for Video
so if you don't already have it you can download the latest version.. (Below)

VidBox also includes the lame_enc.dll (Dynamic Link Library) which encodes
Wav files to Mp3. Lame supported wav sample rates : 32000, 44100 and 48000.

http://lame.sourceforge.net

Vidbox now comes with FFMpeg encoder (See Details Above) for encoding
audio and video files to other formats..
